Skye-Forest Baker, LPC
I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while recognizing and building upon their unique strengths. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their concerns, gaining insight, and working toward meaningful change. Using a person-centered and compassionate approach, I strive to meet each client where they are and tailor treatment to their individual goals. I welcome and affirm individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, and identities, and I am committed to fostering a space where clients feel respected, valued, and understood.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biomedical Humanities from Hiram College and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron. I work with adults 18+ who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. I work alongside clients to develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, and create lasting changes that support their overall well-being.
In my free time, I enjoy running, weightlifting, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy reading, playing board games, and spending quality time with my wife, dog, two cats, and leopard gecko. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or seeking personal growth, I am committed to providing a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.
