The Vision Behind Strive CLE
Strive CLE Counseling was born out of my lifelong commitment to mental health care and a vision for a more collaborative, client-centered approach. After earning my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University, I completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Kent State University with a clear long-term goal: to build a practice where providers work together to deliver comprehensive, wraparound care for individuals and families.
My early career began in nonprofit community mental health, serving children, adolescents, and families in school-based and community programs. Those years taught me the importance of meeting clients exactly where they are and making care accessible, flexible, and individualized. As I transitioned into outpatient private practice, I continued supporting clients across the lifespan, specializing in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, and deepening my belief that people heal best in environments where they feel genuinely seen and heard.
My personal story has always been interwoven with my professional path. Losing my sister to childhood cancer and navigating my own experiences with anxiety and PTSD gave me a firsthand understanding of the grief, fear, and resilience that many of my clients carry. These experiences became the foundation of Strive’s culture—one that prioritizes compassion, authenticity, and truly personalized care.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, our field shifted almost overnight. Telehealth, once rarely supported by insurers, became a lifeline for clients and providers alike. I found myself holding back-to-back virtual sessions, sometimes 10 in a day, witnessing both the overwhelming demand for mental health services and the strain on an already stretched system. That season of rapid change and reflection made it clear that our community needed something more: a practice designed from the ground up to be flexible, responsive, and client-centered in a changing world.
In March 2021, I opened Strive CLE Counseling with that vision in mind. What began as a solo practice quickly grew in response to the needs of our Northeast Ohio community and clients across the state. As Strive has expanded, it has remained grounded in the same mission: to provide evidence-based, personalized care that treats every client as a whole person, not a diagnosis. We remain focused on the needs of our patients, continue to add new services to better meet the evolving needs of those we serve, and stay rooted in the core values that inspired Strive’s creation—collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to quality mental health care. As we continue to grow, our purpose remains the same: helping clients feel supported, empowered, and never alone in their healing journey.
