Abbey King, LPCC

I deeply believe that we all have a story to be shared. By providing a person-centered and non-judgmental therapeutic environment, I hope to facilitate desired change and growth in your life. I try to never forget that first and foremost, I am a human in the therapy room, and I always try to keep it real.

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University (We Are!) and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University. I have been licensed since 2017 and have practiced in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Ohio. I have experience in in-home, community, and outpatient agency settings as well as private practice.

I currently help clients aged 14+ who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma and complex trauma (PTSD), systemic family dysfunction, and addiction. I am fully trained in EMDR and currently working towards certification. I primarily utilize EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches in my therapeutic treatment.

In my free time, you will catch me on my Peloton, running, or exercising in some form. I love to read and listen to true crime podcasts. I also adore spending time with my husband, son, and our dog. I am excited for you to start your healing journey with me!
